Christina Karam spent more than a decade inside Sean “Diddy” Combs’ inner circle, rising from a 2013 hire to chief of staff of his entire business empire. She managed his contracts, schedule, flights, deals, and the most private parts of his personal life. She did not leave that role until 2024, and the reason for her departure remains publicly unknown. While Karam has never faced criminal charges, her name keeps appearing in civil lawsuits tied to Combs.
A Los Angeles judge dismissed sex trafficking and sexual battery claims filed directly against her on June 9, 2026, ruling that the accuser could not prove Karam knew about abuse or profited from it. But that clearing only resolved one case, and three other lawsuits continue to name her directly. Karam has never given a single interview about any of this. Everything known about her role comes from court filings, lawsuits, and public statements.
That silence is exactly why speculation about what she might know continues to grow. Combs himself repeatedly confirmed how much he depended on her. At the 2022 BET Awards, he thanked her publicly by name. On Facebook, he told millions of followers that he could not function without her by his side.
His own words make clear that she was not a peripheral employee, but someone with extraordinary access to both his business and his personal affairs. The comparison to another infamous figure did not begin as internet speculation. It started inside a courtroom. In March 2024, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a lawsuit that directly called Karam “Diddy’s Ghislaine Maxwell,” a reference to Jeffrey Epstein’s closest associate, who is currently serving a prison sentence for helping organize his abuse.
Since that lawsuit, Karam has been named in three separate cases connected to Combs. One of them, filed in October 2024 by a man named Ashley Parham, claims that Karam personally threatened him. In December 2024, a man named Phil Pines, who worked as Combs’ executive assistant from 2019 to 2021, filed his own lawsuit. Pines claims part of his job involved stocking hotel rooms with baby oil and red lights for what Combs reportedly called “wild king nights,” and that cleaning up afterward was also his responsibility.
Pines also claims that Combs once made him “prove his loyalty” and that he was pressured into a sexual act while Combs allegedly watched. That specific claim about being pressured while Combs watched is the same one a judge later found unsupported when it came to Karam herself. In March 2025, Karam publicly broke her silence for the first time. She said the accusations against her are completely false and that they have caused lasting damage to both her reputation and her family.
Combs’ legal team has backed that denial consistently across the lawsuits filed so far, asserting that the events never happened as described. There has been at least one significant legal development involving Karam that raised new questions. In court, the federal government referred to her as an “agent or co-conspirator” in the Combs case. That language marked the first time she had been referred to in that way.
It also implied that she may have reached an agreement with prosecutors and could potentially testify against Combs, though no formal charge has been filed against her. For now, Combs remains behind bars with a release date that has been pushed back multiple times. The most recent update moved it to February 23, 2028. Separately, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed it is reviewing a new battery case against Combs, tied to allegations from publicist Jonathan Hay about incidents said to have happened in 2020 and 2021.
That review does not guarantee charges, but prosecutors do not review weak cases, and it carries real weight for someone already serving time. If felony charges are filed, Combs could remain incarcerated well past the current 2028 release date. A case like that would almost certainly pull more names into the spotlight, including people from his inner circle. Karam has not been convicted of anything.
